A New Animation Creation Ecosystem Where Ideas Become Works, and Works Become IP

The Problem Toonkit Is Solving: An Era Where Anyone Can Become an Animation Creator

Animation is a massive content market that continues to grow rapidly around the world. With the expansion of OTT platforms, the mainstream adoption of subcultures, the rise of short-form content, and the growth of games and character IP businesses, animation is no longer a niche genre for a specific fandom. It is becoming one of the core formats of the global entertainment industry.

But creating animation is still incredibly difficult.

Having a good idea does not mean you can immediately turn it into an animated work. To complete a single piece of animation, countless stages are required: worldbuilding, character design, background production, storyboarding, cut composition, movement, camera direction, voice, music, and editing. It takes many people working together over a long period of time, and the barriers in cost and technical expertise remain extremely high.

This creates a long-standing imbalance in the animation market.

There are many people who want to watch animation, and many people who want to create it. But the number of people and teams who can actually produce high-quality animation is limited. Even individual creators with great stories often stop before they can begin because of technical and financial barriers.

Toonkit wants to solve this problem.

We aim to create a future where anyone can become an animation creator through AI technology. We want to help people turn the scenes, characters, and stories in their minds into real animation, have their work recognized by audiences, and eventually build a path toward monetization and IP creation.

Can AI Really Change Animation Production?

A major transformation has already taken place in the world of text. Writing, translation, search, and coding have moved from being tools used mainly by experts to becoming creative and productive tools that many more people can use.

The image domain is also changing rapidly. Recent image generation models are no longer limited to creating beautiful pictures. They are advancing toward character consistency, natural language-based editing, style preservation, and reference-based generation.

But video is much harder.

Video is not just about generating one good image. Characters must remain consistent across multiple cuts, movement has to feel natural, and the flow between scenes must connect smoothly. Camera direction, emotion, storytelling, and sound all need to work together. Animation, in particular, requires character identity, style consistency, exaggerated motion, and continuity between cuts in a way that is different from live-action video.

That is why Toonkit is not simply building a tool where you type one sentence and receive a video.

We are building an AI animation production pipeline that helps creators express their creative intent more easily and more accurately.

The Limitations of Existing AI Video Generation Tools

Many AI video generation services have appeared recently. Most of them emphasize convenience.

“Just type one sentence.”

“AI will make it for you.”

Convenience is important. But in animation creation, the most important thing is not simple generation. It is control.

Does the character stay consistent?

Do the outfit and hairstyle remain the same across cuts?

Does the emotion and direction of the scene come through as intended?

Can the creator revise the parts they want to change?

Do multiple cuts feel like one coherent piece of work?

A video generated in one attempt can be a fun experiment. But it is often not enough for a creator who wants to make a real animated work.

Toonkit focuses exactly on this point.

Toonkit’s Approach: Not Just a Generation Tool, but a Production Pipeline

Toonkit is an AI animation production platform that helps anyone create high-quality animation more easily.

We are designing a pipeline that allows creators to produce animation from A to Z without getting lost. Our goal is to bring the entire flow into one creative experience: writing a story, dividing scenes, composing cuts, generating images, creating videos, and eventually connecting voice and lip-sync when needed.

But making the process easy is not our only goal.

Toonkit also provides detailed control features so creators can achieve higher-quality results. What we care about is the balance between automation and creative intent. AI should assist with many parts of the process, but the creator should still be able to guide the final direction of the work.

Toon XL: Toonkit’s Own Style and Consistency Engine

Toonkit provides a unique and consistent animation style through our own trained image model, Toon XL.

Many AI-generated images tend to look similar, or their style changes from cut to cut. Toonkit continuously improves its own model to provide styles and character consistency that are better suited for animation, rather than generic AI-looking images that can be found everywhere.

We actively collect feedback from professional animators and creators. When many users request a specific style, we also train and provide that style directly for them.

What Toonkit wants to build is not just a model that generates good images. We want to build a style engine that allows creators to maintain a consistent world, character, and visual identity throughout their work.

Region Editing: Reflecting the Creator’s Intent More Precisely

Recent image models have improved significantly, but there are still clear limits to expressing exactly what you want using text alone.

“I only want to change the facial expression slightly.”

“I only want to adjust the hand position.”

“I want to keep the background and change only part of the character’s outfit.”

“The composition of this cut is good, but I want to regenerate only one specific area.”

These kinds of requests are difficult to solve with prompts alone.

That is why Toonkit provides region editing. Creators can directly select the area they want to modify and refine the result by editing only the necessary parts. This feature is also being continuously improved into Version 2, Version 3, and beyond based on user feedback.

Toonkit does not believe that AI will always create the perfect result in one attempt. A good creative tool should allow creators to repeatedly revise their work and increase its quality step by step.

Model-Specific Optimization and Animation Research

Each AI video generation model has different strengths and weaknesses. Some models are better at preserving characters, some produce more natural camera movement, some are stronger for short action scenes, and some are better at expressing specific visual styles.

Toonkit studies prompts and settings optimized for multiple video generation models. We are not simply connecting external models. We continuously experiment with model-specific prompts, input image structures, cut design, camera instructions, and post-processing methods to produce results that are better suited for animation.

Our goal is simple.

We want users to create higher-quality animation in a shorter amount of time.

From Creation to Monetization and IP Development

People create animation for many different reasons.

Some create it for fun. Some want to bring their favorite characters to life. Some want to build their own world. Others may want to create new content featuring idols, brand characters, or original characters.

But one area we care deeply about is monetization.

We want Toonkit users’ carefully made animations to be discovered, loved, and monetized. When a creator makes a great work, we believe it should not end as a one-time output. It should have the opportunity to gain fans, become a series, grow into IP, and lead to bigger opportunities.

To support this, Toonkit plans to provide community features where creators and viewers can enjoy content together. We are also considering various forms of support that can help great works be discovered by more people, help creators build their audiences, monetize their work, and eventually expand their creations into IP.

The Future Toonkit Wants to Build

Toonkit does not believe that AI replaces creators.

We believe AI is a tool that enables more people to become creators. Toonkit’s role is to help people with great stories move past technical barriers, turn the scenes in their imagination into real animation, and bring their creative ideas into the world faster.

For a long time, animation required large teams and massive production budgets. But in the future, more individuals and small teams will be able to create their own characters, worlds, and stories as animation.

Toonkit wants to accelerate that future.

A world where anyone can create animation, anyone can show their characters and stories to the world, and great creative works can be properly recognized and monetized.

That is the problem Toonkit is solving.
