Toonkit BTS ep.0: The start of retrospectives
The beginning of the upcoming Toonkit Behind-the-Scenes series!

On December 19, 2025, Toonkit officially launched.
Over the past six months, after dozens of updates, Toonkit has become what it is today.

Updates so far: Toonkit Lounge, tutorials, user-trained styles, VoC, blog, Quickstart, animation generation templates, storyboard, Kanban/Grid/List views, ToonXL, cut editing page renewal, video editing page renewal, design system renewal, and more…
Of course, the Toonkit team is not stopping here! Even now, somewhere in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, new Toonkit features are constantly being developed.
The Beginning of a Retrospective?
From here on, we’d like to talk about the service called “Toonkit” and the stories behind it.
Then why is the title “The Beginning of a Retrospective”? There is a reason we named it this way. Through this behind-the-scenes series, we’ll look back on the features we built over the past six months and honestly share why they were created, how we built them, what improved because of them, and finally, how they could continue to improve in the future.
So this Episode 0 is, quite literally, the beginning of the retrospectives to come!
Toonkit Blog
As a quick example, shall we take a brief look at the blog feature?

To be honest, we wanted to share all kinds of stories with you, but we didn’t really have the right space for them. So we added a blog feature. We wanted to show you how the Toonkit team thinks and how we work across a variety of topics.
Also, unless you checked every update email, it was hard to keep track of what had been updated regularly. So we added an Updates section to the blog as well, making it easier for you to find newly updated features at any time. Now, you can easily check the latest updates from the blog list and jump straight into the service to try them out.
Lastly, we may have also been hoping to leave the impression that Toonkit is a tool that truly tries to communicate with its users. To the person reading this right now, what do you think? Do you feel a little closer to our service?
The blog feature has only been open for a short time, so we’re still actively collecting user data. That means no one knows exactly how the blog feature will evolve yet! It’s a feature full of possibilities. We’re already looking forward to the day when we can bring the blog feature back as a topic in this series and share even more stories with you.
Wrapping Up
That should be enough of an introduction to the Toonkit behind-the-scenes series for now.
Even if this post feels a little light, we hope you’ll understand. We’ll come back with more detailed, more interesting, and more generous stories in the official series! That is, if you’ll wait for us…
The Toonkit Team Is Hungry for Feedback… Please Send Us Yours!
So, here’s our request. If there’s a Toonkit feature you’d really like us to cover in this behind-the-scenes series, please feel free to send us your thoughts by email or through VoC feedback! We’ll do our best to actively reflect your ideas when choosing topics for future posts.
- cs@toonkit.io ← Please send your emails here!
It doesn’t have to be a topic for the series. Stories about Toonkit, thoughts on the AI industry, or anything else are all welcome. We’ll gather those ideas and may even introduce them in a future blog post. Please send us lots and lots of feedback.
Goodbye!
